A Moment

A lot has come to happen these past few months...(as compared to the entire stretch of last year), and as i sit here in front of a computer in the lab of my workplace, the radio is belting out the care-free tune of "Don't Worry, Be Happy". I wondered how many people actually sing along to that song & believe it.

Thoughts swirl & form, coagulate & disintegrate in my head.

MMM Update! (Mini-Mid-May)

I'm. not. dead.! *climbs out of grave*

For those of you who haven't spoke to me for ages (boo!!), I'm currently working at STN (Singapore Tissue Network), a biobank situated at Biopolis. Our lab runs diagnostic/processing/depository services for various patient samples (blood, DNA, urine etc), but we only accept samples from research groups and hospitals! So please stop being so 'sua-ku' in asking me to help you run blood tests / store your sperms / clone a baby! lol...

Anyways work has steepened, and with a larger load of samples (and more diverse variety) coming in, there is never time to find a corner and, well, 'relac one corner'! At the end of a normal working day nowadays i would almost always find myself dragging my body back home, deficient from my desired "nine hours of sleep"... And without decent time for myself after work (most idle time wasted combating sleep demons, aka trying to stay awake), it is even harder for me to engage in activities, such as blogging. But today i'm feeling fine and awake... probably because i had the crazy idea earlier this evening of going for a run (after i came back from work!). In the end i covered a nice portion of Yishun, particularly the neighborhood i live in, and it was a nice run. Let's all hope i warmed-up properly and not get a fucking leg cramp later in the middle of the night!

Once More With Feeling

It has been a really long time since i last sat behind the Blogger dashboard... and it's amazing how time really flies by when you're not noticing (or when you're too busy with the world to notice)... The past seems to collapse into a collective "yesterday", filled with endless memories and experiences, some still vivid and crystal-clear, while others had become vague, like a fleeting dream.

The past year felt like a very long "yesterday".

Mom i'm Pregnant

Urgh... been having all these annoying bouts of migraine lately! It strikes me in the middle of an innocent bus ride, or simply when i'm watching a show or playing video games, or even when i'm just walking. Show me a video with bright flashing colors, or give me a ride and go above 100km/h, or just move your hands very quickly in front of me to watch me barf.
(Headache + nausea = Pregnancy? *lol* Maybe i should head down to Guardian and purchase some Pregnancy test kit..)
I don't know why or how it came about.. the last time i had recurring migraine was when i was 16, and now it's back to HAUNT me. I don't remember how i made it go away though, was it the funny herbs i was trying on? Anyways at this moment it's subsiding: the prescription? Panadol, root beer and some Blink182 (something i haven't heard for a LONG time... Nostalgica!)

Weighing a Minute with Grains of Sand

A couple of updates...

1. Finally bought a new handphone 6280 in honor of my close-approaching ORD! Am really impressed with it (honeymoon period). A 'Sart'* sliding 3G phone that plays MP3s and video clips, decent calendar (desperately need some organizing in my life), and a cool 2Megapixel camera that fulfills my shutterbug dreams! Also included: other functions i haven't discovered yet! *giggles*

2. Bought a Nintendo DS! A handheld gaming console that boasts unique 'double-screen' feature! Bottom screen is touch-sensitive and you can play various games with a stylus (included)! Backwards compatible with my older GBA games! Allows multiplayer mode and sample download via WIFI connection (sorta like bluetooth)! Internal clock! Pretty graphics!

3. Progress Package spent! (Hint hint PAP)
How on Earth do you think i could suddenly possess the SPENDING POWER to get a 6280 AND a DS within weeks??

4. Involved in the SAF day parade... Maybe i'll write an entry about it soon to bitc... i mean talk about it.

4. Currently sick with common cold... heavy nasal discharge, cough with yellow phlegm. May cause drowsiness. Do not operate machinery.

5. Am gradually recovering from my "loss of identity".
